For among My people are found wicked men; they lie in wait as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

Criminals are found among my people; they set traps to catch people, like hunters lying in wait.

A hunter traps birds and puts them in a cage, but some of you trap humans and make them your slaves.

There are evil men among my people. They are like men who make nets for catching birds. They set their traps, but they catch people instead of birds.
There are wicked men among my people. They like to catch people and rob them. They hide like someone who wants to catch a bird. They put out their traps to kill what they want.

“My people are infiltrated by wicked men, unscrupulous men on the hunt. They set traps for the unsuspecting. Their victims are innocent men and women. Their houses are stuffed with ill-gotten gain, like a hunter’s bag full of birds. Pretentious and powerful and rich, hugely obese, oily with rolls of fat. Worse, they have no conscience. Right and wrong mean nothing to them. They stand for nothing, stand up for no one, throw orphans to the wolves, exploit the poor. Do you think I’ll stand by and do nothing about this?” God’s Decree. “Don’t you think I’ll take serious measures against a people like this? * * *
For among My people are found wicked men. They lie in wait, as he who sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

For there are wicked scoundrels among my people who, like fowlers, set traps, but with men as their quarry.
There are wicked men among my people. Like those who make nets for catching birds, they set their traps to catch people.
Indeed, there are wicked scoundrels among my people. They lie in wait like bird catchers hiding in ambush. They set deadly traps to catch people.
“Jeremiah, some of my people are evil. They hide and wait just as people hide to catch birds. They set traps for people.
“Among my people are the wicked who lie in wait like men who snare birds and like those who set traps to catch people.
‘Among my people are the wicked who lie in wait like men who snare birds and like those who set traps to catch people.
‘For among My people are found wicked men; They lie in wait as one who sets snares; They set a trap; They catch men.
For sinful men are found among My people. They watch like men lying in wait watching for birds. They set a trap, and they catch men.
“Among my people are wicked men who lie in wait for victims like a hunter hiding in a blind. They continually set traps to catch people.
For scoundrels are found among my people; they take over the goods of others. Like fowlers they set a trap; they catch human beings.
